The water
quality today was different from previous days.
The water temperature, salinity, and pH all dropped. There were also less cells and the absorbance
was not as high. I believe that these
are all due to the rain on Tuesday. The
rain was pretty cold, which accounts for the drop in water temperature, more
fresh water means lower salinity, and the new mulch that Tabor put down for
revisit day might be the cause for the increased acidity. Decreased cell growth could be caused by the
cold water or it may be that the rain diluted the harbor.
