Water Quality 4/2/2014

Today the water was colder than yesterday.  There was also less growth in the water.  I believe the differences from yesterday to today are due to the times the samples were collected.  On Tuesday, the sample was collected at low tide, whereas the sample today was at high tide.

 Just for fun I added a picture of the water quality tubes.  When testing for water quality (ammonium, nitrite, and nitrate), you have a 5ml sample of water, in which you put drops of test solution.  It's not a very interesting process, but the colors the water changes are quite pretty.
