Water Quality 4/11/14

Water quality today was interesting.  The water temperature has risen, which should mean that algae will be growing soon.  The pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate all indicate that the water there is in good health and circulates well.  However salinity is still down, as is the absorbance, but not the cell density.  I actually had some trouble with the cell counting today.  There was a lot of what seemed to be dusk or silt in my sample.  There was also one long piece of angel's hair that go in the way.  I tried my best to only count the cells and not the dust, but the discrepancies between the absorbance and the cell density indicate and error on my part.
